Whisky Tours
Located next to Edinburgh Castle, the Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre offers the visitor a unique view of the world of Scotch Whisky. Whisky Tour, Shop, Bar, Coffee Shop & Restaurant. Visitors to Edinburgh can find out about the difference between single malt, blended and grain whiskies, meet our resident ghost the master blender and take a barrel ride through whisky history. The tour includes a taste of whisky and a specially designed nosing and tasting glass for visitor to take home as a souvenir.
The Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre is a unique and unusual venue for corporate hospitality. In addition to our whisky tour and private whisky tastings we have three beautiful rooms available for all types of events. From the elegant Castlehill Room to the relaxed traditional Whisky Bond all of our rooms are full of character.
The Castlehill Room has a high pitched roof with exposed beams and a dozen windows flooding the space with light. In the evening chandeliers and subtle spot lights pick out the features of the wooden beams and light the stained glass window.
The Whisky Bond has very characteristic south facing half moon windows giving a lovely affect by candle or daylight.
Our smaller bright and sunny Blenders Room is the ideal small meeting space with views over the south of Edinburgh and the Pentland Hills.
We have a team of whisky experts who can run a Whisky Tasting or Tour to accompany your event allowing your guests to discover the fascinating differences between Scotland’s Whiskies.
Catering is provided by our own team who also run our restaurant “Amber” which has met with high acclaim providing relaxing lunches and fine dining in the evening.
