Fully comply with any legal environmental obligations based on current requirements

Are involved with environmental matters on a daily basis

Provide all our employees with information, instructions and training which is necessary to achieve our environmental objectives

Strive to encourage our partners to assist with our environmental approach

Where possible, engage with our guests and visitors encouraging them to support our environmental ambitions

Actively reduce waste, water and energy consumption

Measure our environmental performance and compare with industry norms and targets seeking to enhance our operations at all times

Seek to use latest environmental technologies and approaches when conducting refurbishments or construction work

Engage with our local communities

Drive environmental issues in our company future planning

In particular, as a company we encourage our hotels

To enrol in the GTBS

To establish a “green team” which meets at least 4 times a year; the team is to be guided by a “green action plan”

To participate in environmental events when ever possible in order to further enhance environmental management

To encourage environmental training and specialist knowledge within our hotel teams

To seek to engage with other hotels and partners in order to learn from best practice

To actively encourage, suppliers, contractors, employees and guests in environmental thinking and action

To engage in the best possible waste management processes

To monitor and reduce wherever possible energy consumption

To benchmark monthly energy and other environmental costs

To always consider environmental issues in operational decisions
